In 1905, the young composer Ralph Vaughan Williams came to West Norfolk as a collector of folk songs. By chance, he was introduced to the fishing community of North Lynn and their friends who sang him, to his delight, their "seemingly inexhaustible fund of splendid tunes". 70 years ago, Vaughan Williams came to the King's Lynn Festival to talk about his days as a collector.  Join Elizabeth James, Jill Bennett and friends as they trace the singers and the songs, and the lifelong influence they had on Vaughan Williams's music.
