Described as “technically flawless and impeccably musical” (International Piano), 23-year-old Ukrainian pianist, Illia Ovcharenko, has taken the piano world by storm, winning multiple awards, including the prestigious Honens International Piano Competition.
Illia was 6 when he decided to be a pianist and had given his first concert by the age of 12. Today he’s a celebrated virtuoso playing concerts all over the world: performing with orchestras such as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Israel Philharmonic, and recitals including at Carnegie Hall and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
In between performances, he’s currently finishing a master’s degree at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien with his long-time mentor, Arie Vardi
