Award-winning composer and former Master of the King’s Music, Dame Judith Weir, shares insights into her life and music in conversation with Ambrose Miller, in this event showcasing her distinctive style. The programme features four of her works, including St Agnes in a new arrangement and Three Chorales.

Interwoven with Romantic-era pieces by Schumann, Schubert, and the Mendelssohns, the performance by Contemporary Consort highlights Weir’s dramatic, intimate language.

The Town Hall’s chequerboard façade conceals six hundred years of history. An evocative example of Lynn’s rich heritage, the Town Hall boasts a series of majestic oak panelled rooms, decorated by elegant chandeliers.

There is parking directly opposite the Town Hall on the Saturday Market Place and behind it on Baker Lane.  Please note: Charges apply 24 hours a day, including for Blue Badge holders. Accessibility
There is one level access from the front door to the lift and toilet for people with disabilities on the ground floor. There is an infra-red sound enhancement system for the hard of hearing, and guide dogs are admitted.

Seating
All of our Town Hall festival events have unreserved seats.  Capacity varies from 70 to 170 depending on event.  Due to current building works and fire regulations at the venue, please note there are only 4 wheelchair spaces available and these MUST be booked in advance.
