WALK: The River Walk

Thursday 18 July 2024

2.00pm • Custom House • £5 per adult, children free

Explore both sides of the River Great Ouse, the artery that allowed Lynn to become such a rich and powerful town. Discover Harding’s Pits, one of England’s largest doorstep greens and the source of the clay for the bricks that built much of 19th Century Lynn.

We cross the river at the South Lynn ‘free’ bridge and can then experience the fine perspective of the town’s quayside from the west, before taking the ferry back across the river to end the walk at King Street.

Meet at the Custom House, Purfleet.

Tickets can be booked online here.
