Kickstart Communications and Events Intern

The post-holder will play a key role in supporting the Festival team providing an opportunity to gain valuable work experience within arts communications and event management.  Work will be varied including both hands-on practical tasks and administration based activity.  It offers an insight into the workings of a long-standing Festival and through a regional training programme you will be able to access new skills, networks and contacts throughout the creative and cultural sector.

Build your confidence, learn vital transferavle skills and gain real experience of working in the Arts and Cultural sector through this Kickstart Scheme placement. The Kickstart Scheme is a government fund, creating hundreds of thousands of high qualit 6-month work placements, aimed at those aged 16-24 who are on Universal Credit.

Current eligibility criteria for Kickstart applicants:

  • Aged 16-24
  • Claiming Universal Credit
  • In receipt of no other earned income

25 hour a week. Minimum wage applies.
