Ambrose Miller
Artistic Director
Ambrose Miller read music at Cambridge and London universities, studying composition concurrently at the Royal College of Music where his Woodwind Quintet won the Cobbett Prize. He was a viola player in the Royal Ballet Orchestra and subsequently its manager. He founded the European Union Chamber Orchestra which, between 1991 and 2011 with support from the European Commission, toured in 73 countries. He was Artistic Director of the Stratford on Avon Music Festival and remains a curator of various chamber and orchestral music series.
Keith Hobday
Festival Manager
Keith Hobday has worked in Norfolk for the past 30 years in a number of different roles. He is currently Music Director of the Mozart Orchestra and North Norfolk Sinfonia, and is the founder and Chair of Norfolk’s only professional classical music ensemble – Norwich Baroque. Additionally, he has organised a number of educational outreach projects in West Norfolk, and has taught the Violin to hundreds of children along the way. Formerly Head of Strings at Gresham’s School and Co-Director of The Belfry Centre for Music & Arts, we give him a warm welcome to the Kings Lynn Festival.
