Chopin Ballade No.3
Ravel Gaspard de la Nuit
Glinka Ruslan & Ludmila Overture (arr. Sudbin)
Yevgeny Sudbin gives a performance of powerfully emotive piano music from some of the greatest composers ever to have composed for the instrument. Each piece tells its own story, from Haydn's dramatic Sonata with its toe-tapping finale, to Tchaikovsky's plaintive Dumka and Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit, with each of its movements based on poetry by Aloysius Bertrand. Yevgeny will also perform his own arrangement of the overture from Glinka's Ruslan and Ludmila.
Hailed by The Telegraph as "potentially one of the greatest pianists of the 21st century", Yevgeny Sudbin has appeared as soloist at the BBC Proms and with leading orchestras around the globe, including Vladimir Ashkenazy and Neemi Jarvi.
