Lunchtime Concert Series: Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux (Violin) and Ljubica Stojanovic (Piano)
Tuesday 27 July 2021
Biber Guardian Angel
Mozart Sonata for Violin and Piano in F KV.376
Brahms Sonata for Violin and Piano No.1 in G Op.78
There is no denying Mozart’s musical genius, and it is in his sonatas where this can sometimes best be heard. His Sonata for Violin and Piano in F is elegant and charming, with a healthy dose of Mozart’s trademark playfulness. In this lunchtime concert exploring the sonata form the Mozart is paired with Brahms’ first sonata, an effusively lyrical work that allows the violin room to sing.
Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux studied at Montpellier's Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional and at the Yehudi Menuhin School. She is supported by the prestigious Countess of Munster Award scheme. Ljubica Stonajovic was winner of the "Grand Prix" at the international competition for young pianists in Geneva and took first prize at the National Competition of Serbia (Belgrade).
