Ben Horden kicks off Early Music Day with a programme based around two recitals given in Sandringham Church at the first King’s Lynn Festival. The enriching programme traces church music from its beginnings with works by Bach and Handel to more modern styles from Whitlock and Percy Grainger. The organ is too often considered as just an accompaniment to choral music, particularly in a church setting, but in this concert Ben will give audiences a flavour of the rich solo repertoire written for this versatile instrument.
