Time Machine King's Lynn release film about the Festival

Time Machine King’s Lynn teamed up with King’s Lynn Festival to produce a promotional film to celebrate the festivals 70th anniversary. Both the film and the Festivals celebrations fell victims to the Covid pandemic with the 2020 festival being cancelled and the filming delayed. Finally, it has been possible to complete the film which is now available to watch.

The “Time Machine King’s Lynn” film relives the origins of the festival, displays the present and considers its future. Archive material and interviews with those who remember how the festival came into existence are combined with recent festival performances in the towns historic venues. Explanations of the ways in which todays Festival is planned, how it is seen by the Council and the ways in which it has evolved, point the way to a festival for the years to come.

Lighting Cameraman Robert Fuller says that the filming posed several challenges but is very happy on how the production has turned out. The film has been produced by “Time Machine King’s Lynn” project at no cost to the festival and hopes this to be a significant contribution to the future of the King’s Lynn Festival we know and love.

The film can be watched on the Time Machine King’s Lynn Facebook Page and Instagram @timemachinekingslynn from the start of April 2022.
