Friday's Winter Season Finale!

With more lovely sunshine forecast, spring is definitely here, and so the King’s Lynn Festival Winter Season comes to a close this Friday with a violin and piano recital by award-winning Scottish violinist Michael Foyle and Estonia’s Maksim Stsura.

These young musicians started their collaboration in 2012 and have been described as ‘an excellent and well-matched duo’.  They regularly perform in prestigious venues across the United Kingdom and international festivals.

Their programme for Friday’s concert includes Mozart’s Violin Sonata in G major, typical of the composer’s genius, as he revealed in a letter to his father that he wrote the piece in 1 hour, and first performed it with the piano part only in his head as he hadn’t had time to write it down!

Works by Beethoven, Brahms and Kreisler also feature in Friday’s performance which starts at 7.30 pm in St George’s Guildhall, King’s Lynn Arts Centre.   Tickets are available online and on the door at £13 (£6.50 for under 18s).
