Festival attracts biggest audience so far...help us win an award!
The figures are in - two weeks of top quality events has attracted the biggest audience in the Festival's 66-year history.
There were more than 7000 ticket buyers for the especially wide-ranging programme plus more than 1000 visitors to the exhibition of works by artist Alfred Cohen staged in partnership with the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, and sculpture by Susan Bacon.
A record sum was invested in the exciting programme but the box office takings achieved the ambitious target set by the Festival Board, enabling us to break even.
Thanks to everyone who supported us by sponsorship, membership, buying tickets, volunteering and the many in-kind contributions which help us bring world-class performers to local stages.
