Hoofbeat:
Initiated in 2003 this group plays both in and outdoors, with the line-up of five East Anglian musicians bringing together saxophones, accordion, trombone and percussion.
Their repertoire ranges across musical styles with short and lively pieces composed especially for the group in jazz, folk and classical styles alongside arrangements of music ranging from Kurt Weill’s Mac The Knife and Tango to Bulgarian wedding music.
From a first public outing in King’s Lynn for Festival Too and the King’s Lynn Festival 16 years ago, the group has since played at many venues in the East Anglian region. Now back where they started, we hope you enjoy Hoofbeat.

Doubles:
Doubles is an exciting pop up performance where contemporary dance and Ping Pong combine. The project encourages communities to come together to enjoy art, sport and healthy living. The colourful and quirky performances of Doubles began as a collaboration between Joe Garbett Dance and Ping!England. The highly physical piece aims to surprise passers-by and encourage them to join the pop up Ping Pong party. The Table Tennis Table will be up for people to play between performances.

King’s Lynn Festival Chorus – Song for Shelter:
Kings Lynn Festival Chorus is a dynamic and friendly choir based in King’s Lynn that draws members from Norfolk and adjoining counties.
As part of the Sing for Shelter national programme for awareness of homelessness, “A Place to Call Home”, written by composer Alex Woolf will be performed by the Festival Chorus and members of the local community. Sing for Shelter is an ambitious project taking place throughout 2019, bringing together choirs and singers across the UK with one common goal: to help combat the homelessness crisis we face.
