School Workshops: Pump It Up

As part of King's Lynn Festival Extra

Schools Wind Pipe Organ Project - Pump It Up (KS2):  Sarah Kenchington (artist, maker, musician and performer) is bringing her wonderful and whimsical Wind Pipe Organ to King's Lynn for a week of school workshops and music making. Participating schools will create their own musical composition on this colourful instrument and then go on to explore how sound is generated through organ pipes by making their own instrument to take away. 

We are also looking for young musicians, aged 16-18, to take part in a series of workshops leading to a performance, on this unique instrument, of Spiegel im Spiegel by Arvo Part; at a performance in St Nicholas' Chapel on Friday 12 October.
