The 2022 Early Music Day begins with an hour-long organ recital by Coventry Cathedral’s director of music, Rachel Mahon. She will play the Henry Willis organ, the last instrument on which Father Willis worked on before his death.

Rachel Mahon is Assistant Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral, where she works with the Cathedral Choir and curates the organ recital series. Prior to this she was Assistant Organist at Chester Cathedral and Organ Scholar at St Paul's Cathedral in London, where she gave recitals and regularly played and conducted for services, working with the world-famous Cathedral Choir in the daily cycle of worship.

Seating is unreserved.  The acoustic is excellent throughout the chapel but an unrestricted view of the performance area cannot be guaranteed from all seats - in some cases, the view is extremely restricted.
