Brahms Variations on a theme by Paganini, Op 35 (Book 1)

Ahead of his appearance in the 2021 Festival, pianist Maxim Kinasov performs finger-busting pyrotechnics and delicate arabesques in the first of our online summer cocktail series. Using the theme from Paganini's famous Caprice No 24 in A minor for solo violin, the piece is a stunning demonstration of Brahms' compositional skill.

This online concert will be premiered on King's Lynn Festival's YouTube channel at 6pm on Thursday 10 June, and will then be available for you to watch at your leisure.

The concert was filmed in King's Lynn Town Hall in May 2021, thanks to generous support from DCMS's Culture Recovery Fund.
