Mendelsssohn Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream
Elgar Cello Concerto
Dvorak Symphony No. 8

Adam Hickox conductor
Bartholomew Lafollette cello

The 2024 King's Lynn Festival is brought to a magnificent close with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. From its first powerful chords, Elgar's ever-popular cello concerto is one of the most heartrending pieces ever composed. In contrast Dvorak's eighth symphony is both cheery and lyrical drawing its inspiration from the Bohemian folk music the composer loved.
