Three Fantastic Fridays in the Festival's Winter Season

The Summer Festival season may be over, but there are three great concerts in the Winter Season to look forward to, and a special ticket offer to see all 3 for just £30 (Please note this offer is only available via Box Office telephone: 01553 764864).

Friday 28 November 7.30pm
The first concert is the lovely Badke Quartet, returning to King's Lynn after a great performance in our 2011/12 Winter Season.  The Badkes have recently been appointed as the Quartet-in-Residence at Royal Holloway University in London and their new line-up demonstrates impressive individual skills as well as "an unswerving togetherness" - The Strad.

The Badke's programme will take the audience on a musical journey across three centuries, featuring the brilliant Haydn String Quartet in F major, Op.77, No.2, the expressive Ravel String Quartet in F major, and the soulful Beethoven String Quartet in A minor, Op.132.

Friday 6 February 11.00am
A recital in the Festival's popular Coffee Concert format at the Town Hall, young Swiss-born pianist Jean-Sélim Abd‎elmoula will be performing the evocative Debussy Images Book II, the striking Chopin Ballade No.2 in F major and Schubert Sonata in A major D.959. The recital is part of a short UK Tour in February 2015 by Jean-Sélim, who has recently been awarded a Rebanks Fellowship by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.  He is already establishing himself as a versatile and prizewinning pianist, composer and film composer and is delighted to be performing in King's Lynn for the first time.

Friday 17 April 7.30pm
Violinist Michael Foyle and Pianist Maksim Stsura have developed a strong reputation as a duo despite playing together for a relatively short time.  Their delightful programme includes Mozart Sonata K.379, Beethoven Sonata No.4 in A minor and Brahms Sonata No.3 in D Op.108.
