A Beginners Guide to the Pipe Organ: Talk and Recital

As part of King's Lynn Festival Extra

A talk and demonstration of the recently-renovated historic Henry Willis organ by Peter Godden, a local organ expert and organist. The pipe organ is the largest of all musical instruments, and the famous acoustic of the chapel helps produce an incredible, almost electronic, sound from their Victorian masterpiece. Includes a short piece performed by local young musicians.

  • A limited number of wheelchair spaces are available and must be booked in advance - please specify when booking.

The nearest car park is Chapel Street and Tuesday Market Place. Please note: Charges apply 24 hours a day, including for Blue Badge holders. Please ensure you pay the correct fee.  Current charges are available on the borough council website:  https://www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/

Seating is unreserved.  The acoustic is excellent throughout the chapel but an unrestricted view of the performance area cannot be guaranteed from all seats - in some cases, the view is extremely restricted.
