Work Experience Opportunity

Closing Date: 1 December 2016
Assignment: 10 February 2017 & 5 days between 15 & 29 July 2017.

Are you studying photography at college or 6th form?  Would you like to volunteer with us next year?  This is a great opportunity for a Photography student to get an insight of “behind the scenes” at a festival and to create a music and arts portfolio...

King’s Lynn Festival was established in more than 60 years ago and hosts a fortnight of classical, jazz and folk music events, plus talks, exhibitions and films each July.  We are developing our social media profile to reach new audiences and need good quality images to support this, as well as having good quality unique images for our printed materials.

Applicants would need to be available on the morning of Friday 10 February 2017 and for at least 5 days between 15-29 July 2017 and use their own camera equipment.  There will be opportunities to take informal photographs at events and rehearsals plus more formal photos of venues, performers and musical instruments.

This is an unpaid role but we are able to offer the student free tickets to certain festival events plus free portfolio prints and photo credit for any images used on Instagram and in printed material (we produce more than 35,000 leaflets and brochures each year with a wide circulation).  The total time commitment is expected to be 15-20 hours.

Applications via email to  kate@kingslynnfestival.org.uk by 1 December 2016.
