Niamh Cusack to read poetry at T S Eliot event tonight

Juliet Stevenson has had to withdraw from her involvement in T S Eliot’s Four Quartets at King’s Lynn Festival because of filming schedules.

She will be replaced by another renowned actress Niamh Cusack who will join former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and cellist Guy Johnston at St Nicholas’ Chapel tonight (Thursday July 28) at 7.30pm.

Niamh, a member of the well-known acting family, has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in many major stage productions since the mid-1980s.

She had a long-running role as Dr Kate Rowan in the TV series Heartbeat and more recently rejoined the Royal National Theatre to play Siobhan in the stage adaptation of Mark Haddon’s book, The Curious Incident of a Dog in the Night-Time.

At the Lynn Festival event Niamh will read T S Eliot’s poetry interwoven with music by Bach for cello, played by Guy Johnston. T S Eliot expert and theologian Rowan Williams will discuss Four Quartets.
