We are pleased to announce a second guided walk by Dr Paul Richards, following the qucik sell-out of tickets for the first one.

The walk will take place on 3rd July at 6pm from Custom House.

Tickets are £15 per person including a glass of wine at Hanse House.  Advance Booking is essential.    Festival Patrons, Friends and Sponsors have Priority Booking until Friday 10th April, thereafter booking will be open to the general public (subject to availability).  Tickets can be reserved by calling the Festival office on 01553 767557.

In 2015 Lynn celebrates 10 years as a member of the New Hanseatic League founded in 1980.  Its 183 towns have a population of 25 million across 16 nations in nothern Europe, but all share a Hanseatic heritage.  The only English members are King's Lynn and Hull.

This walk aims to raise awareness and appreciation of Lynn's fascinating Hanseatic heritage.  Its origins are to be found in the 14th and 15th centuries when the Norfolk port was a prominent English partner of the German Hanse whose head cities were Lübeck and Hamburg.

The tour will finish at around 7.30pm with a short tour of Hanse House, the sole surviving trading post of the medieval German Hanse in England.
