Festival Feature: Benjamin Grosvenor
Just weeks after giving a recital at King’s Lynn Festival pianist Benjamin Grosvenor will feature in the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
The 22-year-old, who made his Proms debut four years ago, will perform at Lynn Minster on July 23 and in September will be the soloist playing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marin Alsop.
“It says something about the calibre of musicians appearing at Lynn Festival and we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to witness the huge talents of this fast-rising star. Not surprisingly tickets have been in great demand,” said Festival chairman, Alison Croose.
“It is an endorsement of the quality of the Festival and the broad range of this year’s programme that there has been an increase in Festival Patrons and Friends who can enjoy priority booking and a variety of other benefits,” she said.
