Friends of the Festival

For 59 years the King’s Lynn Festival has been attracting top names from the worlds of music, arts and entertainment. It also prides itself in introducing talented younger artists to the town, many of whom are fast establishing a reputation in the classical music world.

If you would like to help us continue this tradition of excellence please consider becoming a Friend of the Festival. We ask Friends to make a donation of £25 per person and in return they receive:

  • Advance details of Festival events
  • Exclusive priority booking period (occasionally we have to limit the number of tickets available to Friends during the priority period but you will always be able to apply for at least 2 tickets for each event)
  • Membership card
  • Discount at a number of local restaurants during the Festival
  • Invitation to join an annual outing to London for a theatre or ballet performance

To become a Friend of the Festival please cllick here and fill in our enrolment form (PDF).

Support
Each year Friends have the opportunity to co-support a performance in the Festival. This year the event will be a Coffee Concert by Simon Hewitt Jones & Daniel Swain on the morning of Thursday 23 July. The recital will include music by Beethoven, Dvorak and Poulenc.

Friends wishing to support this event are asked to make an additional minimum donation of £50 per person/couple which will allow them to buy two discounted tickets for the recital with seats reserved at the front of the venue and their support will be acknowledged in the concert programme.

Gift aid
If you pay income tax you can significantly increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to you. Gift Aid allows us to claim back 25p for every £1 you give to us, boosting the value of your donation by a quarter. All we need from you is permission to reclaim the tax you have paid to HMRC and we’ll do the rest. Higher rate taxpayers can claim further relief via their own tax return.

If you would like to nominate King’s Lynn Festival to receive your tax repayments as a donation you will need to enter our unique code on your tax return. The Code is AAJ57SG.

Legacies
You can make a lasting contribution to the future by leaving a legacy to the King’s Lynn Festival.

Business Sponsorship
We are very grateful to the many local and national companies which regularly support our activities. We always welcome new sponsors and will be delighted to send full details of events and print items available to sponsorship this year. Please contact us by e-mail or telephone (01553 767557) for further information.

Get Involved
We welcome volunteers to help with many aspects of the Festival. It you are free during the two-week period of the Festival, why not become a steward. If you live in King’s Lynn and have a spare room, perhaps you could offer hospitality to some of our visiting artists. We welcome offers of help with marketing; by putting up posters or distributing brochures in your area you could provide valuable help.

For more details on becoming a volunteer contact the Festival office: 01553 767557.
