Festival plans virtual concerts

King’s Lynn Festival will not be able to stage any concerts this autumn, as had been hoped, because of social distancing regulations.

The Festival board has instead arranged for some recitals to be staged and recorded without audiences in three established festival venues in Lynn – The Minster, All Saints Church and the Town Hall – during October. They will be streamed later this year and early next year.

Plans to stage the 70th King’s Lynn Festival Exhibition next month have also been postponed in favour of it being held at the Fermoy Gallery and Red Barn at King Street next spring.

The Festival's ongoing success has helped establish King's Lynn as a Festival Town, and is especially known for bringing new compositions to audiences as part of its broad programme of music and arts.
