WE ARE HIRING
The KING’S LYNN FESTIVAL is seeking to recruit a MARKETING OFFICER who will be responsible for publicising the annual King’s Lynn Festival and other activities throughout the year.
Working under the direction of the Administrator, their goal will be the effective promotion of the Festival at local, regional and national level to maximise public awareness of, and attendance at, all Festival events.
In this role, you will become part of a small, dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic team in an informal but busy environment, committed to producing a world-class Arts Festival within tight financial constraints.
We are looking for a knowledgeable and creative self-starter with an eye for detail, and relevant experience of working in a similar role dealing with advertising, distribution, communication and media activity. Appropriate IT and social media skills are essential. The key personal qualities required are confidence, energy and enthusiasm, coupled with the ability to work under pressure in a team environment without direct supervision. A background and interest in the Arts, particularly Music, would be a distinct advantage.
This is a part-time post involving an average of 3-4 days a week based at our offices in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The workload is seasonal, with a peak of activity from December to July. During the Festival itself a flexible approach to hours and duties is essential, as is as it will be necessary to work some evenings, weekends and long days in an ‘all hands on deck’ environment.
Starting salary offered is from £20,000 p.a. pro-rata, depending on experience and qualifications.
