Talk: Professor Robert Winston - Manipulating Humans

Lord Robert Winston is Professor of Science and Society, Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College, member of the House of Lords and Chairman of the Genesis Research Trust. During his career he has pioneered improvements to IVF treatment and has more than 300 publications to his name regarding human reproduction.  This illustrated talk will explore the history of fertility issues, genetic modification and the way reproduction may now be manipulated.

St George's Guildhall is the largest surviving medieval guildhall in England - boasting many original and rare medieval features. The first theatre production was in 1442 and was officially reopened after an ambitious restoration in 1951, marking the start of the first King’s Lynn Festival.
