Kathleen Ferrier Award winners, baritone James Newby and pianist Joseph Middleton present a song recital in the popular coffee concert format. A fitting concert to start the special weekend of music and arts events, the concert celebrates the legacy of one of the best British singers of the 20th century, who performed with Gerald Moore at the first King's Lynn Festival in 1951.

The Town Hall’s chequerboard façade conceals six hundred years of history. An evocative example of Lynn’s rich heritage, the Town Hall boasts a series of majestic oak panelled rooms, decorated by elegant chandeliers.

There is parking directly opposite the Town Hall on the Saturday Market Place and behind it on Baker Lane. Please note: Charges apply 24 hours a day, including for Blue Badge holders. Please ensure you pay the correct fee. Current charges are available on the borough council website:

Accessibility
There is one level access from the front door to the lift and toilet for people with disabilities on the ground floor. There is an infra-red sound enhancement system for the hard of hearing, and guide dogs are admitted.

Seating
All of our Town Hall festival events have unreserved seats. Capacity varies from 70 to 170 depending on event. Due to current building works and fire regulations at the venue, please note there are only 4 wheelchair spaces available and these MUST be booked in advance.
