Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, Jamal made his solo debut at the BBC Proms in 2017 and won the Arts Club – Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award.  He was a soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in September and is fast becoming one of the most sought after cellists of his generation. He is accompanied by Bristol-born pianist Daniel Evans, who since making his debut with Bach’s F minor concerto at the age of 10, he has gone on to perform concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt in venues in London, Wells, Bath and Bristol. He has worked with orchestras such as the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, Hebrides Ensemble and Wells Cathedral School Orchestra.

The Town Hall’s chequerboard façade conceals six hundred years of history. An evocative example of Lynn’s rich heritage, the Town Hall boasts a series of majestic oak panelled rooms, decorated by elegant chandeliers.

Car Parking
There is parking directly opposite the Town Hall on the Saturday Market Place and behind it on Baker Lane.  Please note: Charges apply 24 hours a day, including for Blue Badge holders. Accessibility
There is one level access from the front door to the lift and toilet for people with disabilities on the ground floor. There is an infra-red sound enhancement system for the hard of hearing, and guide dogs are admitted.

Seating
All of our Town Hall festival events have unreserved seats.  Capacity varies from 70 to 170 depending on event.  Due to current building works and fire regulations at the venue, please note there are only 4 wheelchair spaces available and these MUST be booked in advance.
