Director Andrew Adamson, 116 mins.  As civil war rages in Bougainville in 1991 Matilda (Xzannjah Matsi), a young schoolgirl, becomes immersed in the world of Charles Dickens’ novel “Great Expectations”, read to the class by village schoolteacher Mr Watts (Hugh Laurie), the only white man left on the island.

St George's Guildhall is the largest surviving medieval guildhall in England - boasting many original and rare medieval features. The first theatre production was in 1442 and was officially reopened after an ambitious restoration in 1951, marking the start of the first King’s Lynn Festival.
