Pop-up events in the Town Centre

An exciting start to the kick off the King's Lynn Festival season - enjoy free entertainment in various town centre locations with a 1940's twist including:

  • Norfolk Knitters presents The Wool Workshops - 10am-11am For all ages to come along and have a play with wool including jewellery making and pompoms! In the Marquee in Tuesday Market Place.
  • Silent Disco- 10.30am-3.30pm This is the latest craze that is sweeping across London and the UK. Participants wear wireless LED headphones, which can connect to multiple music sources guaranteeing everyone leaves with a smile. Come and dance or relax in a deckchair and listen in Tuesday Market Place.
  • Hoofbeat Street Band- 11.30am - 1.30pm playing jazz, folk and classical music outside RBS Bank (next to Argos)
  • Travelling by Tuba- 12.30pm-2.30pm Featured on Channel 4’s Okey Cokey Karaoke, their performances are fun for children of all ages, playing outside New Look area.
  • Springwood High School Jazz and Concert Bands - 1pm-3.30pm Talented young musicians will showcase their skills with some familiar feet-tapping tunes and popular classics. Dance if you dare! Playing in Tuesday Market place Marquee.
  • Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment: Tots event
    The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment bring you authentically Tudor tunes for children. Immerse your 2–5 year old in the world of Shakespeare, Kings, Queens and the English court in these lively and energetic workshops for the youngest of music lovers. See their work here: http://www.oae.co.uk/

    1pm-1.30pm -  Kings Lynn Museum
